Make sure to stop by the Rotofugi/Squibbles Ink Booth #4836 to check it out (as well as a bevy of other awesome SDCC exclusive releases). I don’t have much on details right now, but I will post as I find out…alls I know is that really really excited about this!
I love coming across artist profiles that I had no idea about! My mother emailed me a link to an artist profile (about me) published today on Colour Lovers. Huge thanks to Margot Harrington and Colourlovers.com for the pleasant surprise and great article. Check out the article here.
This is pretty awesome- Joey Potts color palettes based off my paintings:)

I will have work in two upcoming show this month in Chicago. The first show features artist customized PopCult/Devils Due Publishing mascot ‘Drippy’. I saw a few of these during C2E2 in April and the were awesome. 25% of all proceeds will be donated to the Hero Initiative. More info is on the flier below:

The next show I will have work in is the ‘Dirty Show Chicago‘, which takes place Friday and Saturday, June 25th and 26th at the Viaduct Theater. From their website: ‘The mission of the ‘Dirty Show’ is to promote, publish and propagate erotic art in all forms. This is done in the form of an erotic art exhibition which has become one of the largest in the world.’ This is the first year the show is touring outside of its native Detroit, and I’m definitely happy to have the show in Chicago.
A few month’s back Sara Jean of LadyLens Productions and I were hired to work on a new music video for the Bloomington, IN based band, Murder By Death. I did the drawings (close to 500:) and Sara Jean beautifully integrated them into the video- animating them and making the fantasy/reality blend seamlessly. The video and album (’Good Morning, Magpie’ on Vagrant Records) debuted last month to rave reviews. Check out ‘As Long As There is Whiskey In the World’:
There is a ton of stuff going on this weekend, and I feel lucky enough to be part of quite a few of them! Hopefully I’ll see you out!
First off, Revise CMW and I, in conjunction with Nerd City Online, will be releasing an exclusive C2E2 print. Each print is a two colored limited edition screen print that was hand printed by Chicago’s own Kill Hatsumomo Prints. These prints will be available all weekend long at the Nerd City booth #865. The prints are specially priced at $10, so make sure to pick up an awesome keepsake. If you cannot make it to C2E2, we will be selling remaining prints through my online shop.
Here’s a little teaser of the print:

We will be painting and having an all around good time, so stop by and say hello! Later that night we will be attending the Nerd City afterparty, info is here.
Also, in conjunction with C2E2 and PopCult, I will have a custom painted PopCult ‘Drippy’ character in the ‘PopCultour 2: Popcult Customs Art Show’ which runs April 17th and 18th at Reggie’s Rock Club in Chicago. Check out the event here.

Also opening this Saturday, April 17th will be the bird themed group show ‘Flock You’ at the BeerRun Gallery in Pilsen. This is a great group show with a bunch of great artists and is not to be missed! Check out the info here.
The One, The Only Mitch O’Connell (if you don’t know him, google the name and be amazed!) curated an amazing show and asked me to take part. How could I resist when I heard the canvas was to be my favorite seat in the house? As the flyer states ‘The world’s greatest artists have applied their craft on a unique canvas…for your restroom enjoyment!’ Personally, I’ve seen a lot of crap in my day, but to date, this is the best crap I’ve ever seen! Come out and have a pants droppin’ good time at the Tattoo Factory Friday, March 26th 6-11pm 4443 N Broadway, Chicago! (I will not apologize for my bathroom humor:)
