I painted a mural this weekend at the soon to be open FLUID, LLC coffee bar in Valparaiso, IN. It is always nice to work with people who are following their dreams. If you are in the area make sure to stop in once they open. Thanks to Alison for the super nice pic of me painting.
18th Street Brewery opened a new production facility and brewpub in Hammond, Indiana. This facility is much larger than our original Gary location. I was able to have some creative input into what went on with the interior. A few pics are in here of the space, along with a few random pics from Instagram showing my 18th Street labels that caught my eye.
Thanks to Popular Science for using a pic of my SINISTER beer in a magazine article called
'LOVE BEER AND COFFEE? YOU MIGHT BE A PSYCHOPATH; A NEW STUDY ASSOCIATES TASTE PREFERENCES WITH PERSONALITY TRAITS'
(this was supposed to publish back on September 7th...my bad)
Woke up today w a message that my pic was included on the front cover of the The Times of Northwest Indiana, along with a rare albino raccoon. Turns out I am working on some illustration during this Labor Day. Later i'mma go hang out with this rare raccoon.
Pretty sweet to see my Galaxy Slayer beer label on the official Deftones instagram/facebook pages.
Got a little interview/write up in the The Times of Northwest Indiana about my Creative Director position at 18th Street Brewery. Look at that tag line- 'Most days, Joey Potts works from home.' Also you'll notice that one of my favorite hobbies is 'Long walks on the beach'. Read the article here.
Why? B/c I've been busy as hell working as the Creative Director for 18th Street Brewery in Gary, IN. My portfolio has tripled in the past year- and I'm happy to see my illustration abilities flourish alongside an amazing brewery. Check out 18th Street Brewery's website and Facebook to keep up to date w/my work. I'll probably get around to updating this site...sometime(?).

I'm stoked to be in this position and hope to keep up my own personal site. But that's not guaranteed. Below is the type of Illustration I do for 18th, so definitely keep an eye on 18th Street and our facebook page for going's on and new artworks.
